One thing that is common between Berlin and Warsawis that both cities were destroyed in the war. Unlike Berlin, Warsaw rebuilt a section of the city in the manner that it would have looked like before the war. In the picture of the wall, this wall was build on the foundation of the orgininal city wall. It is a delightful section of the city. It looked more like what I would have thought an old European city would look like.

Ms. Cummins,
I do not know you, but I have been browsing though your site. This os one of the most moving blog I have seen. It is impossible to comprehend the horror of the Holocaust, but your pictures and explanations are incredible. Thank you for the chance to share your trip. I can only imagine the emotions you must have felt.

I am glad that you are picking up from the blog some of the emotions that I experienced on the trip. It will take a long time to process what we encountered.
